The Presidential Taskforce on Covid co-Chairperson Dr Alfred Nkhoma has announced that 1million doses of Oxford AstraZeneca Covid vaccine will arrive in the country next month.

During the announcement, Nkhoma said that currently the country has 150,000 doses of Covid vaccines. Out of 360,000  doses that were first arrived in the country in March this year, 333,632 have been administered, as a second shot awaits those who took the jab.

 President Lazarus Chakwera launched the vaccination exercise on March 11 2021, alongside Vice-President Saulos Chilima.
