The Malawi Lake Basin Programme in Salima and Mangochi districts has bout 400 farmers who went through a two-year course.

The farmers were taught on use of gross margin, cash flows, post-harvest management, food budgeting and other contemporary record devices in farm businesses.

Malawi Lake Basin Business Development Officer John Magombo said the training was designed to equip farmers with knowledge and skills on basic farm business ideologies.

Since 2016, the Malawi Lake Basin Program has engaged about 1000 farmers on similar initiatives.
