As various firms participate in the tree planting season, Northern Region Water Board has committed a generous K50m to plant trees.
NRWB acting CEO Francis Munthali revealed plans of planting 400,000 trees, of which a quarter of them have been already planted in Mzimba while another quarter and a half have been planted in Chitipa.
“We are committed to conserving trees because it is crucial for us as a Water supplying firm” said Munthali. The commitment will serve the northern region with trees, as Lilongwe and Blantyre are in a numerous notable tree planting exercises.
