Wico Poles, a local poles and timber making company which has been in operation since 1956, has announced diversifying into the furniture industry, which has seen an incorporation between Wico and Artline Furniture.
Wico Artline Furniture Marketing Executive, Patrick Nkalo attributed the diversification plan to noting existing gaps in the industry. He also guaranteed that the furniture is of utmost quality. “We do not compromise on quality. Our furniture is the best and we are committed to serving our customers in a way that would satisfy them,” Nkalo said.
On the other hand, the company’s Production Manager, Aman Kunje stated that the company has continued to supply quality poles, despite challenges including a shrink in demand of poles. The company got a standards certification from the Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS).
