It is that time again that Sunbird Hotels and Resorts appreciates its recurrent bookers; an open bar, tasty snacks and mouthwatering desserts are just the beginning of the ceremony dubbed ‘bookers cocktail’.
Speaking to the audience, Sunbird’s General Manager Joshua Shaba said that Sunbird acts on the suggestions brought up by the bookers. “Hearing your cry that Njamba Hall is not spacious enough to hold your functions, we are constructing a new conference room that will take a minimum of 500 people” said Shaba, exciting various company representatives that were present. He added that such developments are not happening at Mount Soche only; every sunbird hotel is considering a face lift.
Throughout the speeches, it is observable that Sunbird Hotel and Resorts does not take their bookers for granted. Group Sales and Marketing Manager Temwa Kanjadza said the addition of new rooms at Sunbird Livingstonia was considered because the hotel wanted to accommodate more customers. “It didn’t please us to announce that our rooms were all booked out” said Kanjadza, “so we made more rooms to cater to more customers”
British travel guidebook called Rough Guides, listed 18 countries that are a must visit in 2018, listing Malawi as the third. With so much attention drawn to the warm heart of Malawi, Kanjadza assures expatriates and tourists that Sunbird Hotels and Resorts is prepared to cater to them. “Our lakeside resorts have water sport facilities, local and foreign cuisines plus more improved products” she said in an interview with Biznews.
A surprise performance by Patience Namadingo got the bookers on the dance floor, while lucky raffle draw winners celebrated winning a night at a chosen Sunbird hotel.
