The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has warned Malawians that some online traders from China could be bogus.
In a statement released, the Ministry has announced that it has received numerous complaints of already paid traders that have not delivered the goods; “the dealers disappear after they receive full payment” says the statement.
The general public is therefore warned that when purchasing goods or services online from websites or dealers, they must verify the legitimacy and the physical presence of the dealers.
Meanwhile the Ministry’s Embassy in China is working on tracing the fraudsters and seeking relief from Chinese authorities.
