The Ministry of Civic Education and National Unity has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Anti-Corruption Bureau, in agreement to collaborate in raising awareness about dangers of engaging in corruption.
The two will also collaborate in undertaking capacity-building initiatives targeting the ministry’s structures, National Initiative for Civic Education Public Trust and the public in the prevention and detection of corruption.
ACB Director General, Reyneck Matemba, said the ministry would supplement the graft-busting body’s capacity in reaching out to people in all corners of the country, while responsible minister Timothy Mtambo said that rather than leaving the fight for ABC, citizens themselves should stand up against corruption.
