The Ministry of Health has called on the Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (Admarc) to consider increasing its depots to help in the prevention of Coronavirus.
Health Minister Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda outlined that depots will be crowded, now that Admarc that it has started selling maize in it’s depots to help the underprivileged have food amid economic shocks from the pandemic.
“I made an appeal for them to increase the number of depots because, with the measures we have put in place, we do not want people to travel long distances and gather in large numbers,” she told journalists.
On the other hand, Admarc has donated Oxygen cylinders worth K2.9 million to the Ministry of Health.
