In the week from 17/04/2020 – 24/04/2020, the stock market saw notably a 2.94% share price gain in recently listed Airtel Malawi. Prior to last week, the company’s share price dropped rapidly, as Alliance Stockbrokers called the situation a “post listing effect”.

In the same week in review, share price losses were noted on NBS (-12.5%), NICO (-0.12%), TNM (-0.07%) and an insignificant share price drop in STANDARD (-0.00%). Despite the drops, DSI recorded a 0.29% gain.

On the other hand, FMBCH continues to exhibit share price loss , which according to a stock market report by Alliance Stockbrokers, is due to the poor performance of the holding company due to the underperforming company in Zimbabwe.
