By end of last week (3/04/2020 – 9/04/2020), the Malawi Stock Exchange registered bearish results as stock prices dropped, particularly Airtel Malawi, which according to Alliance Stockbrokers has been a continuous drop.
Part of the report by Alliance Stockbrokers says “AIRTEL share price continues to exhibit losses which is a “post listing effect” as the market keeps correcting share price in an effort to match the demand and supply attributed to the counter.”
Airtel lost 2.85% during the week in review, averaging from 0.34% last month, such that a price drop has been registered almost every two weeks since the company was listed on the local bourse.
