Since GardaWorld acquired Alpha Security in 2018, Alpha Security has announced that by the end of this year, it will be rebranding to GardaWorld.
According to a circular signed by the GardaWorld Managing Director for East Africa and GardaWorld Country Director for Malawi, the rebrand will see changes in the company’s uniforms, cars and much more. The letter states that while the objective is a seamless transition to the GardaWorld brand, there are several key changes that will take place, like uniforms, vehicles being refurbished, repainted and rebranded. Part of the circle reads, “As of December 2019, your invoices will also reflect the new GardaWorld branding. However, the legal entity, tax registration and bank details will be unchanged.”
The company has also stated that due to repainting and refurbishing of its vehicles, clients may notice security staff using white, unbranded vehicles. “Please note that this is a temporary situation, and as of 28 November, all our vehicles will be branded GardaWorld” says the circular.
The company was launched in August 2009 by Mike Davis on his retirement from G4S and he was originally Southern Regional Director for former Team Security. 9 years later the company was acquired by GardaWorld, Canadian private security firm, based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with 90,000 employees, as of July 2019. GardaWorld International Protective Services, now the international division of the company, began operations in 1984.
