All institutions in the investment registration process are operating under one roof at MITC, namely MRA, Registrar of Companies, Department of Immigration and Ministry of Lands. This is known as the One Stop Service Centre for Investment Facilitation (OSSC)
Regional Office in Tete, Mozambique
MITC has established presence in Mozambique under the Malawi Consulate in Tete. The consulate reports to the Ministries of Industry, Trade and Tourism through the High Commission in Maputo. The consulate is also responsible for processing medical and tourism Visas to Malawi.
Service Centre Building Complex
Land has been secured in Lilongwe for the construction of a state of the art One Stop Service Centre office complex for investment and trade facilitation.
MITC Legislation Review
A proposed, reviewed by cabinet will empower MITC to address its challenges, once approved by Parliament.
Tax Income Review
In partnership with the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Development, stakeholders are considering reviewing the current tax incentive regime, to make Malawi more appealing to investors.
The reforms were under the Private Sector Reforms Program, launched in February 2015 by His Excellency the State President Arthur Peter Mutharika
