Asian Muslim Relief Aid (ARAM) sent relief packs to Mangochi, specifically the Chowe and Malindi areas. Aamir Jakhura confirmed the donation, revealing that 2,093 relief packs were distributed to households affected cyclone Idai’s heavy rains and winds.
One relief pack by ARAM consists of 25kg Flour 25 of 90 gram Soya Pieces, 50 metre Plastic Sheeting Roll, 125 ml Waterguard, Large Plastic Bucket, a Blanket and K 5,000 cash.
2093 of relief packs were distributed at Sungusya School, Makumba and M’Nekasya Mosque, Mosiya and Chowe. Aamir Jakhura added that the donation is part of a relief program that ARAM has set, to send 15000 relief packs to more affected areas in Malawi.
The relief sent to Chowe and Malindi areas was worth K72 million.
