The Asian Business Community Covid19 Task Force based in Blantyre has donated 50 extra large Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and 50 large PPE to Blantyre District Hospital Office.

The items, worth K757,500.00, have timely arrived, as Malawi has registered one death and 8 confirmed coronavirus cases, which are likely to spread in the country. The Asian Business Community swiftly responded to the pandemic and donated PPEs, which consist of a hair cover, mak, gown, leg covers and boots.

The Taskforce has promised to commit to further developments against the pandemic in Malawi, by establishing a 60 bedsitter-quarantine center in Blantyre;with all appropriate medical equipment and essentials. The grouping is working hand in hand with responsible authorities and will soon update about the task force’s roadmap.
