55 member states of the African Union (AU) are in Accra, Ghana for the Biennal Review Mechanism and the Malabo Declaration.

The themed topics are targeted towards agriculture as Uganda’s Economic Policy Research Centre announced a 100% target on the trade facilitation, by 2025. This target is aimed at tripling agricultural intra trade between the member states.

The Biennal review mechanism is a means of encouraging mutual accountability and peer review between the member states.
