Chileka Airport’s main runway RWY 10/28 will be closed from 24 April to 24 July 2019, which will affect commercial flights into Blantyre.

It is reported that no commercial flights (big aeroplanes) will land into Blantyre, except for the runway 15/33, which will be operational for air Malawi’s smaller plane Q400 bombardier.

The airport is yet to communicate on scheduled flights that will be available on the smaller plane.
