The recently established Business Incubation Centre in Dowa has graduated its first 24 entrepreneurs. Rewarding them with certificates, the incubation centre trained them on adding value to fruits and vegetables by producing quality juices and sources.
Chief Executive Officer for Small and Medium Enterprise Development Institute (Smedi) Rodrick Chataika added that machinery is available at the incubation centre for processing of cassava into flour, cutting and polishing gemstone, packaging mango into pulp and ketchup processing.
India invested more than $3m in the incubation centre, and the graduation proves that it is indeed worth the investment.
