A statement by the Malawi Investment and Trade Centre (Mitc) has called on businesses in the country to cease opportunities by participating in the 61st Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (Zitf) and World Expo 2020 in Dubai.
Mitc has described the international fairs as platforms for entry into the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market which imported approximately $28 billion (K232 billion) worth of goods from Africa in 2019.
The Expo 2020 Dubai is themed ‘Connecting Minds and Creating the Future’ through sustainability, mobility and opportunity.
The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair is one of the largest intra-regional trade fairs South of the Sahara. An annual exhibition which offers exposure to both trade and public visitors, the multi-sectoral, multi-national expo provides a convenient trade hub for the region. Its location in Bulawayo, the centre of Southern Africa, is at the crossroads of the regional trade and transportation routes.
