Mzuzu Diocese of the Catholic Church has disclosed plans to build a teachers training college (TTC) to meet a growing demand of teachers in the country. This was revealed during a teachers’ training closing ceremony for 124 students that the church, through Chancen Dutch Building organization, sponsored at Loudon TTC in Mzimba District.

Bishop John Ryan outlined that every country needs educated people for its development, so the construction of the college is towards supporting education in the country.

Present on the day was Education Division Manager for the Northern Education Division, Mzondi Moyo, who emphasized on the importance of the upcoming college, following the current massive population, which calls for more schools to be built.
