The College of Medicine has announced of fraudsters that have been coaxing newly selected students to pay tuition fees through mobile money services, namely TNM Mpamba and Airtel Money.
According to a statement by Management of College of Medicine, the fraudsters preying on prospective students, mostly the new students who have just been selected and other school leavers who applied to join the college’s programs. These fraudsters ask the students to pay tuition and accommodation fees through Mpamba and Airtel Money.
A statement reads “College of Medicine management would like to advise that the college does not receive money for tuition or accommodation fees through TNM Mpamba or Airtel Money,”.
As per usual, the college’s bank account details are communicated in the admission letters and are also available on the college’s website and college campuses’ notice boards. The statement also emphasises that no person is mandated to solicit money for the college through any means.
