The Public Private Partnership Commission (PPPC) Acting Chief Executive Officer, Audrey Mwala, says that local investors are not interested in the firm’s public-private partnership projects. She was speaking as she updated the press on various projects that are to be rolled out soon, including the Mpatamanga Hydropower project.
However, Mwala noted that the local investors are not investing due to lack of knowledge on how to, hence she announced that PPPC will engage the potential investors on the matter.
During the Media briefing, Mwala outlined that the Shire Valley Transformation Project, will be rolled out soon and is aimed at increasing agricultural productivity and commercialization for targeted households in the Shire Valley. Other projects that were announced to be rolling out soon are the Provision of Student Accommodation in Public Universities, the Digital Malawi Project, One United Nations House Transaction and PPPC Head Office Complex.
