Combine Cargo has announced of a partnership with international transporter, Transtech, an initiative aimed at easing the movement of goods between Malawi and South Africa. Combined Cargo is a customs and clearing firm that has taken on the initiative, hailing it as convenient for importers and exporters.
Combine Cargo General Manager, Dumbani Kaluwa outlined that the partnership would stand in for traders, as they no longer have to physically travel to South Africa to bring merchandise into the country, saying that task would be ably handled by the two firms. Transtech General Manager, Reiner Barford, hailed the partnership as crucial, since two Malawian firms coming together to ensure that they ease the challenges that Malawian importers and exporters have been facing.
“We are targeting both small-scale and large scale businesses. We want to ease the burden they face including delays at the borders,” Barford said, adding that traders would be guaranteed delivery time of between five and seven days.” said Kaluwa.
