Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Francis Kasaila launched the Business Incubation Centre in Dowa.

The billion dollar project is a grant from the Government of India and it is aimed at boosting the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Minister Francis Kasaila added that the business incubation centre would ensure small and medium enterprises use it for value addition.

The business incubation centre is an agreement that India and Malawi signed four years ago to support the growth of businesses in Malawi. India’s Acting High Commissioner Anil Suri said the grant for the centre signifies his government’s commitment to supporting Malawi’s socioeconomic development.
