The Registrar of Employers Organizations and Trade Unions has announced the appointment of 5 new trustees for the Employers Consultative Association of Malawi (Ecam).
The development follows after it was approved to amend the ECAM Constitution that ECAM should have 5 Trustees. The development also follows the appointment of a new executive council consisting of 9.
The new trustees board consists of the following

Mr Grant Mwenechanya, Britam Insurance
Mr Michiel Buitelaar, TNM
Mrs Zandile Shaba, MyBucks Banking Corporation
On the other hand, the following serve as the new executive council;
Mr Buxton Kayuni BR & Associates, (Vice President)
Mrs Anne Chavula, Blantyre Malaria Project
Mr Beyani Munthali, Tea Association of Malawi
Mr George Matipwiri, Greenbelt Authority
Ms Grace Dinala, Blantyre Adventist Hospital
Mr Lameck Gomani Auction Holdings Limited
Mr Orphan Chirwa, AMREF Health
Mr Richard Kunjawa, PTC
Mrs Roselyn Lockie, Roads Authority
Last year, (Ecam), and Myjobo.com, an online job portal, signed a partnership to enhance youths’ employability skills. Ecam released a statement in which its chief executive officer George Khaki said the partnership will utilise the Talent Guardians Platform to facilitate engagement between employers, educators and youth to help employers build young people’s work readiness and increase their access to a wider range of quality employment pathways.
