Escom is has announced technical difficulties with its prepaid system, therefore customers with 11 digit meter numbers are currently unable to purchase prepaid units from all available platforms.
The above is not news, as customers can recall that in January 2018, Escom reviewed its system for buying prepaid units, stating that the amendment process was to enhance customer delivery. During the migration to its new system called Management Information System (MIS),prepaid vending and postpaid billing services were switched off for a few days.
A year and two months in action, the MIS has seen various customer complaints and network failures, not to mention the newly announced prepaid units interruption. However, in a statement released, Escom has assured all affected customers that the firm is trying its best to rectify the problem.
