Ethiopian refugee Temesgen Butamo has won K54 million after betting with Premier Bet. He correctly predicted the results of 11 football games of overseas leagues. According to Butamo, the prize is his third to win, after winning K70,000 and more than K430, 000 respectively.

“This can only be God. Since I started betting I have never won such an amount” said the winner while receiving his cheque. He also added that he will use the prize money to boost his businesses, while supporting fellow refugees at the camp.

Premier Bet overall shops manager for Central Region Hopeson Ntwana said Butamo’s win signals another milestone. “Butamo is the second highest winner so we are exciting. It just signals that we are real and committed towards improving lives,” he said.
