FDH Bank has announced that it has integrated with the   National Registration Bureau (NRB) database, in an effort to facilitate the secure and effective validation of customer Know Your Customer (KYC) details through the mandated NRB system.

During a signing ceremony held last week, FDH Bank Managing Director Eric Ouattara and Chief Director for National Registration Bureau (NRB) Harry Kanjewe signed on the agreement, in the presence of (UNDP) Chief Technical Advisor Tariq Malik who was also signed on the agreement.

FDH Bank is the first to adopt this initiative, as it will see that customers data is in sync with their National IDs, hence improved and intensified security for customers. FDH bank recently opened Goliati Service Centre branch in Thyolo, establishing a footprint of 53 service centres, over 90 ATMs and 230 Banki Pakhomo agents in the country following its expansion drive. Having signed up a vast number of accounts all over Malawi, the integration with NRB is more than necessary.
