During the Africa Forward Together Forum in Mauritius, FDH bank shared impact of its digital banking innovations on the local economic landscape, among other things.
According to a statement by the bank, the forum was graced by delegates from various African countries to share experiences, information and reflect on Africa’s potential for growth. “FDH Bank has several digital solutions aimed at easing access to financial services, payments and championing financial inclusion. We have FDH mobile, SmartPay, FDH Wallet, Cardless Withdrawals,Diasopra wallet, Ufulu Digital account, online, Instaloan, OneClick and cards business,” outlined FDH Bank Chief Finance Officer, George Chitera, presenting to representatives from 28 banks from Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Mauritius, Ghana, Swaziland, Palestine, Mozambique, Uganda, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Madagascar, Cameroon, Rwanda, Bermuda and Senegal.
In just the first half of 2019, FDH Bank has posted a K3.35 billion after-tax profit in the year under review that ended on June 30 2019. During the same period last year, the bank made K1.34 billion, translating to a 153% profit increase.
