FDH Bank gave K1 million to Chartered Institute of Marketers (CIM), for the Marketers Lakeshore Conference and Marketing Excellence Awards 2020.
Presenting the sponsorship, FDH Bank Marketing Manager Ronald Chimchere attributed the sum to the bank’s support for CIM, especially the remarkable role it plays in promoting the country’s economic development. “CIM is an important and one of the biggest bodies of professionals in Malawi in that it brings together professionals in not only the marketing profession but also other players in various sectors of the financial industry to share ideas and contribute to the economic development of this country.” he said.
Receiving the donation, CIM President Golden Banda said the conference will focus on serious issues that have affected the economy of the country. “Malawi has experienced post-election demonstrations last year, elections this year and now there is
Covid-19 situation which has affected many businesses; We believe during the conference we will come up with a new way of doing businesses.” said Banda.
The conference will be held from 26 to 29 November at Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi under the theme ‘Business agility in the face of disruption’.
