As the Smallholder Farmers’ Fertilizer Revolving Fund of Malawi (SFFRFM) works on its own fertilizer plant, it has reported that three European companies are already interested in the initiative.

 The plant, aimed to complete by 2022, the interested companies have pledged financial and technical support. SFFRFM Board Chairperson Grey Nyandule Phiri, confirmed that the plant will produce over 75 thousand metric tons of fertilizer will be produced locally, which will effectively reduce price of fertilizer to almost half.
