The 2019 Financial Market Dealers Association (Fimda) conference is happening in Mangochi this weekend to discuss and find possible solutions on how the financial market can innovate to leverage on and promote the export market.

Opening the conference will be Finance Minister Joseph Mwanamvekha, who will warm up the podium for , Export Development Fund Executive Director, William Matambo, Standard Bank Malawi Head of Global Markets, McLewen Sikwese, Nico Asset Managers Chief Investment Officer, Daniel Dunga, and Reserve Bank of Malawi Market Analysis and Development Manager, Franklyn Khoza.

National Bank of Malawi (NBM) gave K500,000 to the lake conference, as NBM Treasury Sales Manager, Grace Linda Phiri, said the bank has supported Fimda’s conference as it would help grow the profession. “We are very grateful for the donation that we have received today from NBM plc. It is not the first time that the bank has helped us, it has been supporting us for a long time and we really appreciate their support,” said Nyirenda.
