The Gandhi Forum is holding an interfaith prayer meeting for brothers and sisters in Sri Lanka who lost their lives in the barbaric terror attack that took place on Easter Sunday.
The Gandhi Forum is an intercommunal forum formed to promote Gandhian values of non-violence, tolerance and peace. The prayer meeting is happening today in the evening from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the Malawi Post Corporations (MPC) Hall, Chichiri.
The prayer meeting program is as follows;
Fr. Kadelera, Chaplin from the Catholic University of Malawi will open the meeting with a prayer, followed by opening remarks by Mrs. Nandini Patel. Ecumenical group will do choral music which will be in sync with candle lighting. After the candle lighting, Shri Ketanbhai Pathak will say a Hindu prayer which will be followed by an Islamic prayer. Mr. Ranjan Perera will the speak as a representative for the Sri Lankan Community, followed by a Solidarity song by Barefoot Bob, then a closing prayer.
All are welcome to join the prayers, happening in the evening today from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the Malawi Post Corporations (MPC) Hall, Chichiri.
