Malawi is to expected to export more oil seed, while oil seed products are expected to be better. These developments have been attributed to the Oil Seed Business Clinic, which is an initiative by the Malawi Investment and Trade Centre (MITC) that trained a hundred oil seed farmers.

MITC Chief Executive Officer Clement Kumbemba said that the oil sector is key to Malawi’s economic growth, hence there is need to strengthen it. “We are also hoping that aggregators will sign contracts with the farmers and form associations” said Kumbemba.
