Minister of Health Jappie Mhango says there are 10 new Covid-19 confirmed cases bringing the total number to 33 cases.
The Minister insists that the cases are from Kaliyeka in Lilongwe and are contacts of the one who died on Wednesday 22nd April 202, yesterday. Mhango had outlined that highly populated areas such as Kaliyeka risked rapid spread of the pandemic.
Meanwhile, stakeholders are still outlining the downside of a nationwide lockdown, if the government does not distribute food rations to households or provide cushions for small and medium businesses.
