Telecoms equipment-maker Huawei is under scrutiny and skepticism as nations are banning its products, accusing it of spying.
The company’s founder, Ren Zhengfei has denied the security risk claims, saying the company has never spied on its clients. The Huawei founder joined China’s Communist Party in 1978 and was also a member of the People’s Liberation Army, a history that makes nations think that the company is working with the Communists Party. “I support the Communist Party but I will not do anything to harm the world.” he said.
Meanwhile the US, New Zealand and Australia have blocked local firms from using Huawei to provide the technology for next-generation 5G mobile networks. As the UK raises its concerns on the company, Germany is considering ways to block Huawei products from access of 5G network.
The 5G network has been launched and is still under experiment as it is available in a few nations.
