The Ministry of Trade Public Relations Officer, Mayeso Msokera, has confirmed that the ministry will close down all illegal traders operating retail business in townships or rural areas.

Recently, the Mzuzu Beef Butcheries Association has threatened to carry out unspecified action to Asians communities that are conducting local businesses in Mzuzu city. The Mzuzu Beef Butchery Association members are therefore urged to furnish the ministry with proper information of business operators plating their trade illegally so that the ministry can effectively act so that the law takes its course.
