Small and medium business enterprises under the National Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (Nasme) is acquiring resources for a manufacturing plant for sugarcane products.
A committee has been elected to oversee the project, of which the committee’s representative has confirmed that there are 12 enterpreneurs that are banking on the initiative.
Currently looking into the machinery and labour needed for the manufacturing plant, the committee has revealed that a spacious 100 hectares has been allocated for it. Norman Lufesi, speaking on behalf of the committee, added that the plant would produce ethanol, fertilizer and sweets.
He also said that they are working with the government to successfully implement the development. The plant is an idea that has risen amidst an agro-economy that is demanding versatility in products.
