The National Statistics Office has recorded a 0.2% drop from 10.1% to 9.9%, which means inflation has averaged from 11.5% in 2017 to 9.2% in 2018.
The development is a fulfillment of RBM’s prediction that inflation would average within the single digit bracket in 2018. Economic analysts and experts have observed that the inflation rate will affect affordability of food prices.
Hopefully the inflation remains steadily at single digit or goes lower, as history says that rising inflation inspires price hikes.
