As part of its corporate social responsibility, K Motors has committed to fix hospital ambulances across the country, free of charge.
The panel beating company’s managing director, Mansoor Karim, attributed the service to the company’s understanding that public hospitals face challenges in terms of servicing and fixing ambulances. For the next 12 months, the company will commit to fix one ambulance every month while one ambulance has already been successfully fixed. We pledged to be fixing one ambulance every month for free as a way to give back to the community.” said Karim.
Chikwawa district health officer Dr Stalin Zinkanda said the rehabilitation of two ambulances will help the district reach out to almost 100 000 patients. “We are excited that K Motors will fix our two ambulances for free, this is good news. About 10 months ago, we only had one running ambulance until the government gave us five new ambulances.” said Zikanda.
“We are a fairly new company and this is the little we can do to help our communities.” said Karim, “We are also grateful for the support that we get from insurance companies like Liberty Insurance, UGI, Britam and Nico for a new company like ours.”. K Motors Limited is an expert panel beater, car dent repair, mechanical and electrical fixing centre, offering a “One Stop” vehicle repair services at affordable prices.
