The Ministry of Transport and Public works has revealed that K2 billion has been set aside to repair roads that were damaged due to the 2018/2019 rainy season.
The above was announced in Thyolo by Minister Jappie Mhango, who also called on the private sector to invest in the construction industry to provide necessary construction machinery.
The Roads Authority (RA) plans to rehabilitate about 2500 km at a cost of about K2 billion, of which 833 km will be from the Southern Region to cost K624 million.
