Supporting women and improving the menstrual hygiene in the camps that are hosting flood victims in Malawi, the Japanese Government has donated $1.25million (about K910 million).
According a to a statement released recently, the funds have been provided through World Food Program (WFP) and United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef).
Japanese Ambassador Kae Yanagisawa said, in the statement, that Japan understand the effects of the disaster, as Japan is a disaster prone country.
Previously, Japan had also donated tents and blankets towards the cause.
