Kips Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlour has committed to feed 12 College of Medicine (CoM) who have tested positive for Covid-19 and are currently under isolation.
Upon isolation, the students have been sending someone to buy food from local vendors at prices as low as K400 or K500 outside the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital mortuary. Since schools have closed the local vendors are no longer selling and the only options for them are expensive as they are needy students. In response, Kips Brand Ambassador Pemphero Mphande reached out to the students to help them with meals for the next couple of days. Mphande attributed the donation to his relationship with Kips. “This is why I signed the deal with Kips so that in the months I will be working with them we can do charity work together helping those in need and helping some creative young people get jobs or sponsorship for their business ideas.” said Mphande.
The 12 students will be provided with lunch and dinner, courtesy of Kips Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlour.
