The LASEC Group today is a thriving, well managed, well financed and well organized structural steel engineering firm which is now one of the leading structural steel businesses in Malawi. The affairs and finances are controlled and directed by LASEC Group, the ultimate parent company, under the management of Albertino Besteiro. Policy, communication and day to day co—ordination are determined in conjunction with the senior management of each of the operating companies. The parent company is based in Kanengo which also provides some of the Groups technical support services.

Site and professional skills within our employee force of over 300 people spread throughout our various companies and spectrum of activities and we are understood to be one of the largest direct employers in the construction industry relative to size. In 2011 LASEC expanded once again and invested in IBR production machines. We are now one of the largest pre-fabricated IBR suppliers in the country.
