The Lilongwe Water Board has announced failure to effectively pump water, citing intermittent electricity supply, which has resulted into customers experiencing either low pressure or no water supply.

The Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (Escom) has therefore been called on to rectify the situation, while customers have been advised to make sure their taps are closed to avoid flooding their homes.
