Lilongwe Water Board (LWB) Chief Executive Officer, Alfonso Chikuni, has announced that the board will host an Infrastructure Investment Financing Conference next week. The indaba is aimed at raising awareness and interest from potential financial institutions and development partners.

Chikuni revealed that the conference will outline the seven pillars of investment which include water storage and infrastructure, water production, transmission and distribution, sanitation and catchment area management and livelihoods.

In July this year, the African Utility Week Industry Awards  nominated Chikuni for the category named ‘Outstanding Contribution; Water. On the other hand, LWB itself was again nominated in the category of Water Service Provider of the Year, an award which the board won in 2017.
