Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA), Director General, Godfrey Itaye has said the regulator would make a statement regarding the future of suspension of phone in programs due to what it called irresponsible reporting.
In an interview on Wednesday, Itaye said currently the regulator is consulting other stakeholders on the matter and would soon announce the way forward. “Overall, the suspension brought sanity in the broadcasting industry though we know many people complained about the move. The matter is being looked into and sooner or later the broadcasting industry will be informed on our stand.
