The Medical Aid Society of Malawi (Masm) has announced that it has reviewed its contribution rates, increasing by 15% with effect from 1st July. According to a circular signed by Masm Chief Executive Officer, Sydney Chikoti, the 34th Annual General Meeting of the Society had resolved to change the financial year of the Society from January-December to July-June with effect from the 20l8/2019 period in order to align the Society’s operational objectives. The changes are as follows;
Executive Scheme
Under this scheme, a respective member pays K14,000 which will be revised to K16,000, while a dependent pays K13,000 which will be revised to K15,000 with effect from 1st July 2019.
VIP Scheme
Under this scheme, a respective member is currently paying K28,000 which will be revised to K32,000, while a dependent was paying K24,000 which will be revised to K28,000 with effect from 1st July 2019.
Econo-plan, EXO and VIO
Under these schemes, the econo-plan is currently at K4,000 which will be revised to K4,600. EXO is currently at K26,000 to be increased to K30,000, as VIO is currently at K37,500 which will be reviewed to K43,000 with effect from 1st July 2019.
