During the unveiling ceremony for the construction of the Neno Integrated Youth Centre, Minister of Youth and sports Ulemu Msungama warned the project’s contractor against poor workmanship and corruption on the site.
“Poor workmanship in some projects been undertaken by government is compromising quality and draining government resources mainly through corruption.” said Msungama, “So here we can’t afford to lose this miracle project that’s why we are demanding quality from our contractor”
In response, the Managing director of Magalasi construction company Room Gombwa assured the minister of quality works and to empower the surrounding communities during the construction period by engaging them in piece works but asked them to own the project by avoiding theft of construction materials.
