Lilongwe residents are filled with excitement for the beauty pageant coming their way. The pageant, called Glam and Glory, will be the first of its kind to have the youth and adults participate.

The pageant has cash prizes ranging from K50 000, K30 000 and K20 000, for positions 1, 2 and 3, respectively.

Entry fees being an affordable K1 500 at the door, people can access tickets in advance at a lower cost of K1 000. The registration form for aspiring pageants is already circulating, along with the poster.

The audience of the prestigious event will be entertained by music from Chimz Kelly from Zambia, and local artist Wikise. This pageant marks the era of creatives in Malawi, considering that a decade ago, Miss Malawi was the only popular beauty pageant in the nation.
