MyBucks Banking Corporation has announced a partnership with TNM Mpamba, a development that will see the bank’s customers making money transfers to/from the mobile money operator.
Speaking on the launch of the innovation the bank’s Brand & PR Manager, Tidzi Chalamba, attributed the partnership to the bank’s focus on offering convenient and simplified banking to its clients. “At MyBucks, we believe that in this digital age, we have a vital role to play to ensure that we offer client centred innovations that address the current and ever changing needs of our customers.” said Chalamba.
On the other hand, TNM’s Head of Brand & Communications, Louis Chipofya hailed the partnership as an innovation which allows the two parties’ mutual customers to experience the integrations between mobile and digital banking technology, which results in financial inclusion. “The goal is to make financial inclusion real.” said Chipofya, “With TNM Mpamba, different types of payments and transactions are coming online. As a service, Mpamba has transcended the realms of basic money and airtime transfer to become a trusted payments solution for life’s most critical transactional needs,” he said.
The innovation occurs amidst the coronavirus pandemic, which has seen banking halls recommending and pushing for the use of digital transactions, to prevent the spread of the virus through physical contact of people/cash in the respective bank’s branches.
